Barbara is an award winning actress, author, producer, arts promoter and entrepreneur. She founded Southern Mirrors with the objective of promoting Brazilian culture. A graduate of the School of the Dramatic Arts, University of Sao Paulo, she has worked in Brazil and Canada in numerous award winning theatre plays and films. Recipient of the Best Newcomer Actress Award by the Sao Paulo’s Association of Critics of Art and nominated for Best Supporting Actress by the Sao Paulo’s Association of Play Producers. Wrote the plays Cut & Fried, Breasts, and Se Essa Rua Fosse Minha, As a screen write wrote the short The Kiss and the screen version of Cut and Fried. As a producer, she produced the documentary Merging Cultures, the short Cut and Fried, the plays Breasts, The Art of Listening, the Nelson Rodrigues Festival and the film festivals BRAFFTV, Pink Latino, Up to 3’.
